We are living in a modern world wherein advanced technology is a necessity to get connected with people. One of the great innovations of our times is the Virtual Learning Environment or (VLE). It is a set of teaching and learning tools designed to enhance a student's learning experience by including computers and the Internet in the learning process.
Advantages:
- Students can study anywhere as long as there is an access to an internet connection
- can work at own pace
- provide convenience and flexibility in class time
- cost effective
- enhance creativity
Disadvantages:
- Bad study habits can easily fall behind
- Reduce quality time for other important things
- Slow internet connection may cause disruption during online class
- Not all people are computer literate
- Lack of personal interaction with classmates and instructor
Virtual learning is a great learning tool but it is not applicable for everyone. It requires high -tech gadgets and internet connection to be able to experience the benefit of the said innovation.
